Christmas at Ryan & Megan's

Every year we have Christmas Breakfast at Ryan & Megan's then everyone gets to open gifts. It's lots of fun and lots of presents!

Hadley just woke up and was loving all the fun, Lauren was so tired she could hardly keep her eyes open, let alone smile. Oh well, they are still a cute duo!

It started to snow so Lauren insisted on putting Hadley's brand new ski coat on to go outside and see the snow.

Lauren got a new sled and she thought Daddy and Pa should pull her all over the house in it.

Lauren has gotten to be quite a pro at gift opening!

We think Auntie Meg and Uncle Ryan hate us or something, they got her this power wheel quad! Of course she loves it and will have many hours of fun ramming it into our walls:)

Hadley seemed quite happy with her very own Cabbage Patch doll (Carson Nadia) from Lauren. Now they don't have to share Sheila Bernice:)

A VERY tired Lauren wearing her new backpack that Hadley gave her. It is very cute and she loves it, I'm sure it will carry all sorts of treasures everywhere we go for us!

Celebrating at our house

Lauren enjoying all her fun things on Christmas morning. She was pretty much excited about everything, the socks and crayons in her stocking held equal weight to her kitchen- funny kid!

The new bunny slippers and her own travel mug were a hit too!

Kevin and Lauren did the advent calendar every day this month, they were so excited to open the last window yesterday, which had two pieces of chocolate! Lauren decided to share, which she wouldn't do 1/2 the nights they opened the calendar!

Super Kevin! Lauren got this cape from a girl at her daycare but Kevin must have been jealous, because he was spotted wearing it! I know what to get him next year:)

I made the Christmas dinner this year, which was a first. Kevin always does the big event cooking... it was seafood pasta and quite a hit. Hooray for Val :)

Christmas in Bellingham

Lauren got to celebrate Christmas early with her Oma & Opa in Bellingham. She enjoyed standing on the packages:)

Once she realized there was cool stuff inside she enjoyed opening them as well!

Opa (aka Lauren's slave) carried her anywhere and everywhere she wanted to go. They got all bundled up to go outside and look for dogs. These two are quite the duo!

We also headed up to Lynden for a little visit with Great Grandma and Grandpa. Lauren got this lovely new fleece that she had to wear all day!

What a fun time and Lucky Lauren, she still has a few more Christmas celebrations to go!

So Beautiful

Lauren found this coat and hat set that was in her closet today (it's a 2T so we were saving it for when she's bigger). She INSISTED on wearing it and wore out to meet our friends. She thought she was SO BEAUTIFUL in it.

She was also quite proud of herself this morning because she got a hold of one of my purses. She could tell there was something more special about it than her others... she was feeling quite grown up and sassy!

Bump

Well we decided we should probably post something about baby #2 one of these days so here it is- a picture of the 14 week baby bump!

A new way to sit on bar stools

Lauren has found a great new way to sit on the stools! Notice her purse just sitting by her, we wouldn't want to be too far away from one of our many beloved bags :)

Dress Up

Miss Lauren is always looking for new accessories for her outfit. Here she is in her new purse (thanks to her Auntie T) and her lovely tiger hat, and it appears she's looking for more treasures to dress herself in!

In this ensemble Lauren is wearing the latest in winter fashions- a red couch throw!

And for those extra chilly days Mom's vest is a must have for every wardrobe!

The hard part is when you get all dressed up but have no where to go. Sadly this happened to Lauren on Sunday morning when she insisted on wearing these shoes, purse, and coat first thing in the morning. Guess we forgot to tell her we don't go to church:)

Bathroom Obsession Continued...

Lauren loves carrying the pail that holds extra t.p. from the bathroom all around the house.

Not sure why we are so into all this bathroom stuff lately, but it is entertaining!

Mittens?

Lauren climbed up on the counter and found these Starbucks gift card holders...

She decided they must be real mittens and tried so hard to get them on her hands!

They just wouldn't quite fit for some reason!

ROAR!

I got this lovely hat as a white elephant gift and Lauren is enjoying it quite a lot. Every time she puts it on she ROARS and thinks it's so funny!

This tree is so interesting

Lauren loves sitting by our tree. So far she hasn't done anything too crazy. She loves staring at the ornament of herself from last Christmas. She carries the ornament all around the house.

Who me? I didn't take anything off the tree, I'm innocent!

Potty

Lauren has decided she doesn't like wearing pants anymore. She takes them off every chance she gets. Apparently they couldn't get her to keep them on at daycare today. When we got home today she started to take them off and ran to the bathroom.

She stands by the toilet and pulls her pants down.

This is a very fun game, pulling your pants up and down over and over in the bathroom.

We're tying to go with it, hopeful that this may be one of those "signs" that she is preparing herself for potty training... though knowing Lauren it is just the "phase of the week". She is one entertaining kid!

Decorating the Tree

Lauren was very interested in the tree, but cautious as well.

She was so helpful with putting the star on top!

The finished product. We'll see how long it lasts:) So far Lauren's been very careful and gentle with the tree, but who knows what tomorrow will bring! I'm just excited we have a tree since I didn't think we were going to get one with our house on the market. It feels like Christmas now- yahoo!

No love for Santa

Here is the real picture from Lauren's visit with Santa! Some day she'll realize how ridiculous this is and that he is actually someone she will LOVE A LOT!
