Picnic at the Park with the Cuz

On Saturday Lauren, Ben, Hadley & I went on a little picnic at Farrell McWhirter Park.
Lauren checking out the cows or the "moos" as Hadley insists they are called. I kept telling her that they are cows but they say Moo and she just kept looking at me like I was so dumb and said, "No, they Moos." It was pretty cute!
Hads being SO serious while observing the animals from the stroller. I was dying at her seriousness but her safe distance she kept from them!
Another really focused shot! Ben was more into his bottle.
Checking out the goats. One tried to climb out and see Lauren, she got a little scared.
This pig was my favorite. The poor thing is due to have piglets in May and she looked so miserable. I can't wait to go back and see all the cute piggies!Lauren kept trying to talk to all the animals and when they didn't answer her she asked me to hold her up so she could say hi. Not so sure she gets that they don't talk!
Our little Micky D's picnic. We got "chick nugs" for Hadley and a burger for Lauren.
Ben actually got to enjoy his first french fry and it was a hit! I swear McDonalds adds kid crack to their food- every kid LOVES it!
Enjoying a tasty fry and being cute as ever!
Ben loved roaming around in the grass, he loves being outside and free!
Checking out the pony's. This was the most interest Lauren has ever shown in animals, it was fun to see her actually wanting to see them! She was hoping to see a lion there too... no such luck. What kind of farm doesn't have a Lion? Geez!
By the end Lauren decided she was tired and needed to hop on the stroller. People kept looking at me like I was crazy. Ben kept kicking Lauren which entertained me and irritated her. Funny to already see him doing "brotherly" things and watch her get so mad! (you should have seen this morning when he pulled her hair twice- boy was she mad!)
I'd say the trip was a success!
It was my first outing with all 3 on my own. I'd do it again for sure but SO glad I don't actually have 3 kids under 3- not sure how people do it on a daily basis.

Outdoor Improvements

Kevin's been busy (with some help from his dad- thanks Matt!) sprucing up the yard! This deck is going to be fantastic, we can't wait to play on it. Lauren even told me that when it is done she will let me play on it- gee, I feel so honored!
He also made me 2 beautiful flower pots for the front of our house. I really think they've made a huge difference- I love them!
They help cover up the ugly cement infront of the house where the stingy builders decided not to put brick!

My Very Own Handy Manny

Lauren got this new Handy Manny tool set and Kevin just had to try it on:) I'm thinking Wilmer Valderama better watch out because Kevin Kok just might steal his job from him!

get ready...

to be overloaded! I finally caught up and there are tons of posts.

Butterfly Fairies

Aunt Pam sent the girls these fun wings and they had a great time fluttering around in them!
Taylor can't wait until she's big enough to flutter around too!
So cute.
Flying threw the kitchen.
Wresting butterflies? Why not! Love these two when they are getting along. When they are fighting... well that's another story!

Easter Morning

The cute little scene
Can't wait to open them! Actually Ben just loved the plastic wrap.
Lauren was so excited about her new backpack and her pink scissors. She's been wanting scissors for a long time, how did that bunny know?!
Oh My Gosh- Gold Candy, he must know the leprechaun?
Ben even took part in the egg hunt!
Yeah, I found it!
Checking out all Lauren's loot.
I just loved this little pic of him. As of Saturday he can now pull himself up and that's pretty much all he wants to do now!

Egg Dying

Lauren and Kevin dyed eggs on Easter Eve (nothing like last minute!)
Lauren loved it and she loved eating the eggs. Today on the way home from school she asked me if we could dye eggs tonight. Gotta wait until next year, sorry.
Kevin's gonna hate me for this picutre of him but I loved Lauren's face. She looks so amazed that she is actually changing the color of the eggs! Kevin was a great sport for doing this. It was like 7:30 pm and I'd been at a baby shower all afternoon. Ben threw up on him and then I announced we still had to dye eggs and I had to make cupcakes for the party the next day. He wins Dad of the Year for the 110th time:)
Lauren snuck over while I was baking and asked if she could have "just one lick" as she puts it. I say sure (by now it's like 9... maybe I'm not winning Mom of the Year, oh well). So this is what she does, takes 1/4 cup full and dumps it in her mouth. Of course I take a picture instead of explain that that is not "just one lick"!
Kevin showing Lauren his fancy American Flag egg:)

The Hunt

We went to the Bothell Community Easter Egg Hunt and it was interesting. Lauren and Hadley were a bit overwhelmed and didn't know what to do. Ryan is trying to show Hadley that there is chocolate inside these eggs so she'll actually go hunt. The girls pretty much just stood in one place.
I LOVED that Hadley brought her purse instead of her Easter basket. This girl is oozing with style already!
Lauren with her pretty much empty basket. Once they said go every parent stormed on the field, it was wild! The hunt was for 1- 3 year olds so we assumed that meant kids only. A little crazy to see a field full of nutty parents grabbing eggs but whatever!
Meeting the Easter Bunny. She was too scared to hug him but it was no big deal to get candy out of his basket!
Saying hi with mommy inbetween for safe distance.
Love how they are looking at each other.
Ryan trying to give them strategy:) Maybe next year we'll do better- or we'll just leave the kids at home and we'll storm the field like all the other parents and come back with tons of loot!

Where is Ben?

Ben is obsessed with balls these days and he will play with them forever! He loves to throw them then say "Uh Oh" and go get it, then do it all over again. He's discovered it's a fun game to play with food and his bottles as well...
He's also gotten really good at "How Big is the Baby?"... "SOOO Big!" It's pretty darn cute!

Uncle Easter Bunny

Every year Megan's family has an Easter brunch and Uncle Easter bunny makes an appearance. We crash it every year. Here is Miss Hadley looking extra hip as she enjoys a yummy cherry chip cupcake made by her favorite auntie:)
This is Hadley's cousin Tate who is personality plus. In a matching outfit is her doll Felicity, who is very real and was just as much a part of the festivities as the other kids!
Not so sure what to think of Uncle Easter Bunny... He was a bit suspicious this year... wearing Bob's shoes and all, I'm starting to wonder who he really is??? No pics of Lauren and Hadley since they weren't the biggest fans! Though they did enjoy the presents that he gave them.
After the hunt Bob magically appeared back in the room, where was he all that time? Hmm... Lauren thought she was SO cool gathered in the tv room watching golf with all the guys. In her deep man voice she yelled to me, "Mom, I'm in here" and I was dying when I saw her sitting there all serious.
Uncle Easter Bunny- whoever you are- if you are reading this THANK YOU for making Easter so fun for all the kids and giving us adults all a great laugh each year. You are a REALLY good sport and while we may tease you we really think you are the best for doing it!

Vroom Vroom

He stole his sister's wheels and he's ready to roll!
Nevermind...crash and burned! Guess he wasn't ready to drive yet!
Escaping the scene- doesn't want to be involved!
