Silly Turkeys

I got the girls some silly turkey hats to wear. They were a hit!
Hadley loved them the most, her little face was so happy!
"Um, Hadley, they aren't that cool actually."
Pretty sure Hadles does think they are cool.
We had to try them on as well.
I love this picture, Hadley's hand on her hip with that little scowl is too funny.
We couldn't leave Benny out. He was a very handsome little pilgrim. The group shot attempt was a complete failure, but funny to watch.
We had a fabulous Thanksgiving, and feel so thankful for everything, especially our families. And I think the kids make the holidays so much more fun. Makes me really excited for Christmas!

Pin the Hat on the Turkey

We played pin the hat on the turkey!
The girls were pretty good at it (maybe the lack of blindfold helped?)!
They got a little creative and gave hats to Ryan & Megan too!

Peas for Dinner

Benny had his first "real" food (besides rice cereal) tonight!
He didn't love it but he didn't hate it...kind of an inbetween feeling I'd say. Lauren of course had to feed her baby while we fed Ben (apparently she's quit breastfeeding, at least for the time being).
Feeding ber baby wasn't that fun so she decided to feed Ben. She actually did a great job and he loved it too. We took a video, later I might just try and post it, but don't hold your breath!

Bedtime Stories

Just thought they looked cute

Future Teacher

Lauren pulled out a tub of letters & numbers tonight and started showing them to me one at a time and asking, "What is this?" Each time I'd give an answer, she'd say, "You are right Mommy!" and then line them up in some very specific (yet quite random) order on her table. Already such a great teacher, Mama was feeling pretty proud:)

Future Banker

One of the banks Kevin works with gave Ben this onsie. He seems to really like it!
They wanted some pics of Ben in it so Kevin posed him with cash.
"This is so fun Dad"
(I think really he just liked the one on one attention, which the poor kid rarely gets!)

13 Again

Saturday night Holly & I went to see New Kids on the Block and we felt 13 all over again. We didn't stop smiling all night and had the best time reliving the past. The people watching was almost as entertaining as the show itself! We were surprised by how much we enjoyed the music. The old stuff couldn't have been more fun but the new stuff was pretty good too. I just might be buying myself a new CD at Target today:)

sweet boy

Just some cute pictures of the sweetest little guy we know!

Our newest addition

Lauren has found yet another baby to love...the apple juice bottle. She's been carrying it around for a week straight calling it "baby Leo" and taking very good care of it.
Last night she insisted he needed a bath and we HAD to take the label off it it because she didn't want his clothes to get wet. So here she is giving baby Leo his first bath.
Such a good little mother.
Then Ben joined the bath and as Kevin was washing Ben she kept saying, "We both giving our babies a bath!"

All By Myself

Lately all we hear is "I do it all by myself". This morning she was SO proud of this darling get up. She did actually dress herself though from her undies to her shoes so we gotta be proud of that! She is a true Northwest Gal too because she is wearing socks with her Crocs. Maybe this is the new birkenstock and sock trend?
After she got dressed she said, "Where we going?" and I said, "Costco". She looked at me and said, "Oh is Target closed?" We need to get out more I think!
*By the way, this shirt is a swim shirt from this summer- not really a shirt!

Santa Shoes

Lauren got these new sparkly shoes to wear when she visits Santa. We're thinking we're going have to dazzle him with her cuteness in order to get him to put her on his "good" list:) These shoes, along with a cute new outfit (not the jammies) should do the trick!

Growing Up!

Ben is growing up so fast! He now weighs 16 lbs and is rolling over backwards and forwards and playing like a big boy in his exersaucer. It's pretty fun to watch him play in here, he has a blast.

So gross but So funny!

Just a funny little story we had to share. Yesterday Lauren was laying on Ben like always and had her face in his face. We asked her to move and she looked at us very seriously and said, "I am just feeding him my snot." While we were completely repulsed we were also laughing very hard! Oh the things kids say and do.

The Sisters She'll Never Have

Lauren has been really into imaginary play lately. Saturday morning she says, "Mommy these are my sisters". I assume she means they belong to her sister so I say, "Oh, I didn't know you had a sister". She says, "No, these are my sisters. They are going nigh nigh, give them a kiss." So I kiss each clip and she puts them to bed. For the next 30 minutes we had to whisper and keep checking on them while they slept in my closet. Kevin said this contiued through the day...a little crazy I'd say, but glad she has an imagination!
This morning she went and got one of my decorative gourds and said, "Mommy, this is my little baby". She carried it around all morning wrapped in a blanket and then while I was taking a shower I see her stripping down. I ask what she's doing and she says, "My baby needs a shower" so Lauren, her baby, and I all showered together. I was laughing so hard, 3 generations showering together:)
You'd think she didn't have any dolls or toys... not sure why we buy them in the first place since it appears that random objects are much more fun.

My Friend Ben

Lauren has been introducing Ben as "My Friend Ben" this weekend. Maybe it's because they had so much fun playing around in his crib on Saturday morning.
Kevin and I just sat and watched them play and it was pretty sweet.
*Lauren picked out her own jammies:)

No play session would be complete without Lauren laying on Ben, luckily he doesn't seem to mind.
Right after this, he pulled her hair! We had a lot of tears but honestly, Kevin & I were kind of chuckling because she sort of deserves it:)
Here she is setting him straight! It's fun watching them become friends, I hope it lasts a lifetime.

Favorite Past Time

Ben LOVES sitting and watching the fire, he will do this for 30 minutes and be perfectly happy. I came home today & Kevin said this was the only thing that would calm him down!

Chicken Little

Lauren has been really into dressing up lately and she decided to try on Ben's costume! It was pretty funny.
She was mad that the sleeves were so short! But she got over it and walked all around the house saying, "bock, bock".

Time with Opa

Lauren & Ben love hanging out with their Opa!
