Lynden Fair

 We spent the weekend up in Bellingham and had so much fun up at the Lynden Fair. The kids were excited about the chocolate covered strawberries (so was I!). 

 They were enthralled with all the animals, especially the horses.

 There were so many baby cows. This one was 4 days old and it was for sale for $50. Lauren wanted to buy it. 

 These two were 2 days old. 

 And this one was a few hours old, it was born at 8AM that day! It was pretty sweet to see. The kids got to see it take its first steps. 

 They seriously couldn't get enough, we visited the baby cows 3 times. 

 This cow was born in July of 2008 so it was about a month younger than Ben. We thought it was funny that they were so close in age:)

 These pigs were just a few weeks old and so cute. 

 The kids would've just sat and stared at them all day if we let them. 

 They got to hold baby bunnies and they were for sale for $25. Ben wanted one so badly and was so sweet about it, it broke my heart to tell him no. He said it could live in his closet... 

 One of Kevin's cousins owns a fleet of Belgian horses and they travel to fairs to show them. The kids got to go back after the horse show and pet them, they felt very lucky! 

 The horses are so massive and beautiful.

 Zoe was there working at the lemonade stand! 

 We rode the camels, which was pretty cool. Lauren was old enough to ride alone which she loved!

Ben wasn't old enough so I "got" to ride with him. It's a pretty rocky ride. We rode them 3 years ago at Zoo Lights, we were laughing that most people will never ride a camel in their life and Lauren & Ben have ridden them twice. Lucky kids. 

The rides were OUTRAGEOUSLY priced and I had a really hard time accepting the fact that it cost $5 per person per ride so we said that they could each pick one ride. Both chose this roller coaster and of course wanted us to go too, so $20 later for 30 second ride it ended like this...Lauren was SO mad because she hated it and some how it was my fault. Other than the rides, it was an awesome day, we really did have so much fun! 

It was also the Kok Family reunion and we had to stop and take a pic at Kok Road of the kids with "their" sign. The kids had fun playing with some cousins they had never met. Kevin's family is so big and the ages are so spread out that the kids they played with today were actually Kevin's cousins grandkids but they were our kids age.

Fun on the boat

 We went the Farmer's Market at the Everett Marina last weekend and Lauren just HAD to have this giant tomato and couldn't wait to eat it. She's too funny. 

 Carson and Ben were happy with their Kettle Corn!

 We went up to the boat one evening last week and decided to get Slurpees on the way...someone blew into her straw and it went everywhere! We all had a good laugh over it though. 

 We went over to Jetty Island and had so much fun playing in the sand and watching the kite surfers for a few hours. Love the view of the sunset from the boat. 

 We went to dinner at Woodfire Grill and Lauren had to have clams. After she ate the entire order by herself she wanted to order another bowl of them. This kid has expensive taste! 

Thankfully Ben gets cheese pizza on the kids menu for $5:) 

Color Me Rad

Last weekend I ran in this funny race with my friend Becca. It was the weirdest race, they throw colored cornstarch at you along the race and you inhale a bunch of it. Coughed and blew out various colors for a few days...can't say I'd do it again but it was a funny experience:) 

Woodinville Parade

Last weekend Lauren walked in the Woodinville parade with her gymnastics group. She felt so cool to be in a parade and we all had fun watching! The kids got more candy than on Halloween! 

Week in pics

 Lauren has been in sensory therapy this summer to help her be more in control of her body and Ben has been such a trooper waiting an hour during the appointments. 

 The other night they took baths and then came down dressed like this. I could hear them giggling upstairs and wondered what they were up to. They thought they were SOOOOO funny! As I was putting Ben to bed he said, "Mom, I really don't want to sleep in this." The boy takes everything Lauren tells him to do so seriously! 

 Ben earned a medal at football last week for being a good listener! He was very proud, the look on his face was priceless. 

 Mr. Independent insists he prefers his clothes backwards these days. He also has to make his own breakfast and takes the job of putting the waffle in the toaster oven very seriously! 

Lauren had a sleepover at a friends on Friday so Ben got us to himself. He was beyond thrilled! 

Soccer Camp

 Lauren and Ben went to Scott's Hot Shots camp all week and had a blast! 

 Braelyn and Bennet were there too! 

 The weather was in the 80's all week so the kids were very hot when I got there to pick them up! Luckily one of the days the Redmond Fire Dept. came and squirted them all down with their hoses, the kids thought it was SO cool!

Such a great camp, we loved everything about it! If you haven't taken and of Scott's soccer classes or camps you are missing out, he's the best! 

Rasar State Park

 Last weekend we went camping and this is what our drive up looked like...not exactly how you want to start your camping adventure. 

 Ben was SO excited to go camping, he had been counting down for the past 2 weeks. 

 SO excited to be out in the wilderness! Luckily it stopped raining about 30 minutes before we got there and never rained again! Yahoo! 

 The kids had a great time riding scooters the whole time with Riley & Blaine. 

 1st night there Lauren fell on the slide and cracked her chin open. We were going to take her to urgent care for stitches but the camp host happened to be a nurse and she butterflied it up for us! She was so amazing and we are so thankful she was there! 

 We spent most of the next day down at the river, which was such an amazing color. So pretty. The boys "fished" all day (no bait) and were in heaven. 

 They had a movie night in the amphitheater and the kids thought it was so cool! They showed Aladdin. 

 There was a burn ban so we had to roast marshmallows by camp stove. 

 The kids went to a little "ranger training" that the campground hosted.

 Emmy made us all banana boats for dessert, they were so good! 

We had the best time and can't wait to go camping again!!
