Lauren's Mexican Fiesta!

We celebrated Lauren's real birthday at Ixtapa!

Lauren got her very first kids meal...

...but she was more interested in Grandma's dinner!

Mmm...grandma's rice & beans are much better than my stupid kid meal!

Lauren has a new found fear of hats! She does not like it when we try to put them on her. She wasn't too fond of the loud birthday singing either- but we all got a kick out it!

Lauren decided she wanted to try a lime. She sucked on it a few times. Uncle Ryan can't wait until she can follow it up with a shot of tequilla...not for 20 more years!!!

I'm ONE!!!

Miss Lauren is officially one today! She is not so sure what to think of it all...she's probably kind of annoyed becuase it's only 9:15 AM and I've already taken about 20 pictures of her...

After the Party

We walked up to the park after the party to see if Miss Lauren was going to be a bit braver on the swings now that she had her first birthday party...

Daddy tried to ease her into it...

But no such luck... she's still a bit of a scaredy cat!

Hadley is SOOOO brave though, maybe she can give Lauren some lessons!

First Birthday Party!

Lauren was so lucky to have so many out of town guests for her party! Here are 3 of her cousins from Rexburg, Id!

Blowing out the candle- Lauren was a little anxious about all the attention she was getting!

But once she got a bite of the cupcake she was a very happy girl- she LOVED her cupcake!!!

Lauren got so many fun things but she loved climbing up in her new adirondack chair the best!

Uncle Ryan was so jealous of all Lauren's new toys that he had to try them out. Luckily she's good at sharing... so far!

Thumb Sucker

Lauren sucked her thumb the day she was born, then never again... but she decided now that she is almost one it's time to start again. Ever since Saturday she's been sucking away, even at night while she sleeps! She is constantly changing!

Happy Girl!

Lauren really likes to play "games" now. She loves coming from behind a table and to "find" us and she's been "playing dead" a lot! She grabs a stuffed animal and lays on the floor like she's sleeping, then pops up and smiles. She's so funny!

So Tired

This is how you can tell that Lauren hasn't been feeling well... she actually falls asleep on her own time, wherever she's at!!!

Mother's Day

Lauren wasn't really in the mood for much on Mother's Day so we had a pretty mellow day. We did venture out to Molbaks and Starbucks for a little while though, it was just nice to get out!

It is Finally Sunny!!!

It has been a long wait for the sun this spring but it is finally here and we LOVE it! Lauren has been practicing her walking skills and even took a break to feel the grass which is a big step for the girl who hated grass just a month ago!

Hot Tubbin'

These party animals celebrated Cinco de Mayo by staying up until 9:30!!!

We had an impromtu Mexican fiesta with a few neighbors, then took a dip in their hot tub.
