The big day is finally here! Lauren chose pancakes, kiwi, & strawberries as her breakfast.
Talking on the phone to daddy. He is in Texas for work and had to miss the big day but he talked to her before and after school.
The Kindergartener!
With her backpack and bus info tag on, she is ready to go!
Since Nana works so close she was able to pop over for a few minutes and watch her get on the bus.
At the bus stop!
Getting on the bus with our neighbor Hunter who is a first grader! Putting her on the bus was very sad, I couldn't hold back the tears! She just seemed like such a big girl! Ben and I drove up to school so we could watch her line up for class;)
Waiting to go into class with Ella.
Lining up with Mrs. Tobias!
Bye Bye Lauren- have fun! Ben and I missed her this morning, he kept saying, "When Lauren coming home?"
And just a few short hours later she was back! She loved riding the bus and hasn't stopped talking about her day since she got home, she LOVED it!
The highlight of her day was that a girl got hurt at recess and an ambulance came. Lauren is obsessed with ambulances and medical emergencies in general so this was a thrill for her, she's pretty sure the girl didn't have a heart attack since she can still move her neck...(Dr. Lauren at your service!) Not sure what the details are on that one but what day for that poor girl!
As we were walking home from the bus stop Lauren saw a neighbor mom driving away and she said, "What is she doing leaving her house while her kids are still at school?" I said she probably has errands to run and Lauren said, "Yeah, it probably does get boring just staying home and doing dishes all day when your kids are gone but I bet it's nice to get your work done without your kids talking to you all day." Love that she thinks all us moms do are dishes...well sometimes it does feel like that is all I do!
Glad our big girl loved her first day!
