Ben's class went to Picnic Point for a field trip today. We lucked out and had amazing weather. We also saw so many sea creatures, the kids had the best time and actually, so did all the adults. I've been on a lot of field trips and this one was definitely one of the best!!

Bye bye top tooth
Lauren has been dying to lose her top tooth- it's been loose since January! It finally fell out (or rather the school nurse pulled it out) at school yesterday. Kevin was in her class teaching art so he got to be there for the excitement! Funny thing is- I lost my top tooth in 1st grade when my dad was there having lunch with me.
She was so excited this morning with her note and $2!

Spring Break Fun
We stayed home during spring break but still had lots of fun. Lauren had a new friend over from school, one of her many "bff's" (yes, they even have necklaces).
We took Sadie to get pedicures with us, it was her first time and she LOVED it.
The girls were so cute together.
After pedi's Sadie had a sleepover.
The next day we were off to the zoo. None of us were in great moods, I wouldn't say it was the most fun we've ever had at the zoo but there were some fun moments here and there.
Hadley had a sleepover and helped us babysit Jodie. Not sure who had more fun, Jodie or Hadley.
It cracks me up that Ben sits and plays with the baby toys just like Jodie. They are really cute together.
The sun came out for an hour and we jumped on the chance to get out of the house and go to the park!
Dug in the compost bin for bugs. Found a few, it was really exciting.
We ended spring break with a trip to Bellingham. We went to the farmer's market on Saturday- love their farmer's market, always a fun place to hang out.
We watched the same "circus" street performers that we saw last year. They call themselves "Strangely Jeremiah" and it is fitting...
They are quite entertaining and the kids got a kick out the show. We all had some good laughs actually.

And of course, when we got back to the house Lauren and Ben had to recreate the show!
We saved the best for last and ended our trip today with a nice visit with sweet baby Lily. Our family is completely in love with her. The kids were smitten and it was darling to watch.
They just sat and stared at her and commented on all her little faces, noises, and movements for an hour or so. It was the sweetest thing ever.
A great end to a great week.
It was fun to stay up late, have friends over, and not be on a schedule...but
this mama is happy that school starts tomorrow!!!!!

Visit with Kaitlyn & Jayson
Katilyn qualified for the regional gymnastic championship this year and lucky us, it was held in Seattle! The kids were so excited to watch her compete, especially Lauren!
Yay Kaitlyn! After the meet we went out to dinner with Oma & Opa and walked around the mall, it was so fun getting to hang out- it'd been 3 years since we'd seen her!!!
This morning we headed out to Picnic Point to walk on the beach a bit before they headed back to Idaho.
Spring Break at the beach...Seattle Style:)
Lauren got her feet wet and wouldn't stop complaining, luckily Uncle Jayson gave her a lift!
Before they headed to the airport we had to take Kaitlyn out for her very first Starbucks experience! Since most people in Rexburg don't drink coffee there are no Starbucks there. Lauren could not believe that Kaitlyn had never been to one before, it was pretty funny! Katilyn got a Vanilla Bean Frapuccino and cake pop and voila! Just like that, we have a Starbucks fan:)
We are so thankful we got this time to hang out and catch up with Kaitlyn and Jayson. Looking forward to seeing them again soon for Spencer's graduation from high school!
Great Wolf Lodge
Nana & Pa took all of us to Great Wolf Lodge for a fun Spring Break treat! We all had the best time, so much fun that these are the only 2 pictures I took;) We are all still exhausted from our hours of non stop swimming and playing. A good time was had by all- can't wait to do it again!
Baby Lily
Last week Ben and I headed up to Bellingham to meet Kelly's new baby, Lily. She is seriously so darling and I fell in love instantly, she couldn't be any more perfect. Ben couldn't go to the hospital because of the current no kid rule (unless you are a sibling) but he got to hang out at Oma & Opa's all by hiumself, which was quite a treat. To make the trip even more of a special treat we stopped on the drive up and he got some ninja swords he's been wanting. He was a pretty happy camper. So was I, I could've sat and held this sweet baby all night. So excited for Kelly & Zach!!
Sick
In the past week both kids have had colds, ear infections, and sinus infections. We've managed to keep ourselves entertained at home by making playdoh (both the regular kind and the edible peanut butter kind!), playing orca whale trainer, and doing puzzles. While it's kind of exhausting to have the kids home sick, it's also kind of fun:)
Build a Bear
The kids used their Easter money to make build a bear puppies last week. They were SO excited and cute in the store. The puppies are "Mudpie" and "Fluffy" (pronounced "Slussy" by Ben;)) and they are very loved.
girls
Lauren & her friends LOVE Jodie! They all have so much fun with her after school. The other day they turned on Taylor Swift and all had a dance party, Jodie totally joined it and was one of the gang. It was the cutest thing ever!

Easter Egg Hunt!
The highlight of every Easter is the big egg hunt at Bob & BZ's house where the Easter bunny makes an appearance. My kids talk about this all the time and it is such a special memory for them. So thankful we get included! This year was the best, it was sunny and 70 and everyone had so much fun. Later that night Lauren said to me, "Mom, I think the Easter bunny has a sponsor, I'm pretty sure it's Crayola because his hat says Crayola on it." Too funny. Maybe next year we should try and get Crayola to sponsor the event!
