Bellingham

We headed up to Bellingham this weekend to spend some time with Oma & Opa since they are back from AZ.
These lucky kids got to have Easter all over again!

The weather was nice on Friday night and they had so much golfing with Opa in the backyard.

Kevin went to visit his grandpa in Lynden Saturday morning and the kids and I headed to Rocket Donuts- home of the only gf donut shop around!
It's always a treat to get to have donuts with everyone else.
I didn't take any pics the rest of the weekend but we had lots of fun shopping, seeing Evan & Nikki's new house, going out to dinner with Kelly & Zack (Oma and Opa babysat Lily!), and meeting Zoe, Kevin's cousin who is newly 21 out for drinks.

Ben saw the balloon man on the Farmer's Market on Saturday and asked to go buy some. He blew up every single one in the pack and has make swords, hats, and mystery animals. We had to bring home every single one today and now our house looks like this:)

Backwards Day

Easter

Lauren wrote a letter to the Easter bunny this year asking him a few yes and no questions. Luckily he had a few extra minutes to answer them for her.
They were so excited to go through their loot this year, it sort of felt like Christmas morning.
The egg hunt was a whirlwind- you wouldn't thought that the eggs were all about to disappear!

After having Easter morning at our house we headed over the annual Easter Bunny Extravaganza event at Bob &  B-Z's house. We are so lucky to be invited to this every year, it just wouldn't be Easter without it. Fun to see all the kids ready to go!
Their Easter bunny is super fancy and hides little toys all over the yard as well as candy.

Lauren is over the moon with her new stuffed animal keychains, she's been playing with them daily.

 He's Here!!

I think this was the first year that we had tear free- not a single kid cried!
Thank you Easter Bunny for making an appearance and for such a fun day!

Spring Break in Las Vegas!

The kids and I headed to Las Vegas for 5 days of fun in the sun with the Jacob's family!
We had so much fun!!
Loved being outside and playing in the sun!

They have lots of spray parks which are so fun!

Had a great time playing with Ethan & Taylor all week!
No trip is complete without a stop at In-N-Out burger! Yum!
The first night we headed to the strip to see the butterfly exhibit at the Bellagio and watch the fountains. The kids were mesmerized by all the lights!
A couple of hours on the strip were enough to last us all week...got a few interesting questions from the kids about all the smoking, gambling, and pictures of people with very little clothes.
Ethan is into dinosaurs and Stef made this cool digging bin for him to hunt for bones. Ben loved it.
Day 2 was spent at Wet 'n Wild. It was an awesome place with so much to do, only problem is the water isn't heated. Even though it was 85 outside, the water was SO cold! It didn't get in the way of Ben having fun, he went on every slide he could. Lauren and I were a little wimpier, but still managed to have a really fun time!
The "Royal Flush" was hilarious. It's basically a toilet bowl that you get flushed down! It was pretty fun though.
I was thankful Greg came with us, he and Ben were buddies and went on lots of slides together. I definitely pushed myself and went on some rides that were out of my comfort zone, but was glad I didn't have to do it too much;)
Taylor and Ben are 6 weeks apart and so cute together. Fun to watch them play!

 Stef & I
 Loving the wave pool!
We got Dippin' Dots which the kids promptly spilled all over...
then decided to lick up like dogs. We're classy. Hey, in Vegas anything goes!

Taylor and Ben had fun on the double tube in the wave pool.
 My little sunbathers!

Day 3 we went to this really cool urban playground downtown and played for bit.
Then we explored Freemont street and downtown Vegas. A little of that goes a long way...we were  glad to be checking into our hotel at the Golden Nugget and swim at the Shark Tank!
The pool has a shark tank in the middle with a slide that goes through it, it was so fun to go down and see the sharks and fish.
 Fun time with my babes!
 Cutest kids in Vegas!

The Tank- the tube is the slide that goes through it.
Lauren and Ben rode the slide over and over and over!

After a few hours we decided it was time for the moms to have some drinks by the pool! Next time we might just leave the kids at home:)
At night we walked around and saw the lights. We made it a quick walk...the most interesting people come out at night! The kids loved it all though!
We made a bed up for Ethan and Ben and Blueberry...Ben's new shark, to sleep on in the hotel. They were so cute together.
Ben & Lauren woke up early the next morning so we got Starbucks and went down by the pool to let Stef and kids sleep in. It was so sunny and pretty down there. Definitely a nice way to drink my morning coffee!

After more pool time we went back to Stef's to relax and play. Loved watching the kids play dress up and have fun together.

On our last day we went to Red Rock Canyon for a little hike.
 We saw some cool turtles.
 The mountains were so beautiful!

The kids loved the hike, it was a short kids hike and just perfect for them.

Ben & Taylor took the site seeing very seriously and had to use the binoculars to get a better look.

This was the "waterfall" at the top...more of a drip. Still, fun to see water at the top!

We had the best time this week and are so thankful to Stef & Greg for letting us stay in their casita, feeding us fabulous food, and planning so many fun outings. We'll be back for sure!!
