Happy Kid!

Lauren has become one of the happiest kids I know! The last 3 months have been so huge in her development, I feel like she is officially a toddler now. It's been such a fun summer watching her develop a new sense of independence and personality (she knows how to tell me NO now!). I love it though and I'm going to miss her when I start back at work tomorrow :(

A more successful fort

Kevin built Lauren a fort and it was much better than the one I built her last month...remember the falling baby picture?!

She had a lot of fun crawling in and out...

Dress Up

Lauren loves emptying out Kevin's sock drawer and carrying his socks around. He decided to put them on her the other day, it was pretty darn cute! She wore them around for an hour.

My little helper

Lauren is quite the helper on our Hadley days. Today she was OBSESSED with Hadley's head, she kept touching it saying, "ball". Lately anything that is round is a ball to Lauren.

Lauren also really wanted to feed Hadley today...

Come on Hadley- this is good stuff, just eat it!

We did feed her, as you can see, she really enjoyed it! What fun!

Flashdance!

We are babysitting cousin Hadley today and I think we just took one of the cutest pictures ever! We just had to post it asap. More pics of our fun day soon to come!

First Concert

Lauren went to her first concert today with her friend Henry! We saw Jim Valley perform at Marina Park in Kirkland and it was so beautiful and fun. Lauren & Henry would have rather run around the park, but they managed to get some dancing and clapping in!

I love Mac N Cheese!

We had lunch at Ikea and Lauren got her very own Mac N Cheese kids meal. She LOOOOOOOOVED it. You should have seen her clothes afterwards!

The Laundry Lady

Lauren had a lot of fun helping me sort out the colors... or rather mixing the colors back up for me after I sorted them!

Visiting the Great Grandparents

We stopped by to visit Kevin's grandparents and they just loved watching Lauren. It's very cute to see them with her.

Lauren's favorite part of the trip was playing in Great Grandma's wheelchair!

The Lynden Fair

There was a bench at the fair that had Opa's name on it so we had to take a picture. Can you tell how enthused Lauren was?

Lauren got a little tired at the fair and practiced her "coping" skills. When she's tired she always covers one eye and sucks her thumb.

The day wouldn't be complete without trying to wrap something around her neck!

Fun times with Hadley!

Lauren & I got to babysit Hadley twice in the last few days and boy was it fun! Lauren is trying to "teach" Hads all sorts of new things. She loves laying on the floor with her, the problem is Lauren usually ends up on top of her in a matter of seconds. Luckily Hadley is one tough cookie!

Here is one of the many happy faces we saw today... she was so cute in Lauren's high chair. Just hanging out enjoying her delicious rice cereal... yum yum!

I don't know how to lower the height of this thing so she was hanging in it, it was pretty funny she just kicked away, it looked like she was swimming. She was having fun though!

Here Lauren is being oh so helpful by covering Hadley's face. I kept saying, "lets cover her feet instead" and I'd put the blanket over her feet. Lauren would get up, look at me like I'm such a pain, and go get the blanket and put it back on her head! Oh boy, we have a lot to learn!

We are so much fun that Hads just fell asleep in her Boppy! Actually, it was Aimee's magic "in between the eye rub" that did the trick =)

"I'm the older one so I get to have the binkie whenver I want it," says Lauren. Hadley says, "Okay, whatever you say big cousin"... Lauren- this won't last long so enjoy it now!

Lauren was having fun wearing Kevin's shirt around the house and she looked pretty darn cute. She also enjoys going through this drawer full of various binkies. She likes to test each one out to see which is her fav...funny since she decided she was done with binkies when she was 7 months old.

Summer Fun

We met Ryan & Hadley for a little play date and Lauren got to play in the fountains are Redmond Town Center for the first time! She had a great time getting all wet. Hadley just watched her the whole time like "you crazy kid". Can't wait till Hads can join in the fun!

Our Favorite Picture

This picture cracks us up. Lauren can be so dramatic and this is so her. She loves wrapping things around her neck. She did this to herself, then she sits there with this look like "I'm all tied up in the corner and they treat me so bad". We actually unwrapped her and she re-wrapped herself right away! Oh boy, the girl has got personality!

Bath Time

The 3 babies all took a bath together and it was pretty fun to watch.

They were very busy in there, just playing around.

Beach Babies

Logan, Haley, & Lauren all met the beach for the first time. Logan wanted to eat the sand, Haley was just happy to be there, and Lauren hated touching the sand! Fun to see all their personalities!

Sand in your toes

Kevin & Aaron built a sand castle but Lauren didn't love it either.

Lauren liked the beach but not the sand in her toes.

We tried to get her to play in the sand but it wasn't really her thing.

Once we put her sandals on her she was much happier!

She found a mussel shell and she kept opening it and pretending it was a phone! It was so funny!

We tried to get her to walk to us in the sand but she would not do it. She just stood there and cried until we picked her up, guess she really can't stand the feel of it. What a silly kid!

New BFFs

Lauren made some new friends on our trip to Lincoln City. She especially loved Heather, she wanted to be held by her a lot! How are those arms feeling Heather?

Lauren and Haley had fun doing all the same things. They played together a lot and it was so fun to watch them interact.

This was their favorite way to eat. They shared all their food and often times fed each other. It was so entertaining to watch and so sweet too. I see sleepovers in our future!
