Scottsdale

 Ready for take off!

The first thing the kids did when we got there was jump in the pool!

It was about 80 degrees the whole week, we were SO lucky!

We walked around Old Town Scottsdale and loved it. Such a cute little area with shops and restaurants.

We had a belated birthday celebration for Kevin at the Biltmore, which was AMAZING! One of Frank Lloyd Wright's apprentices built it and Frank consulted on it, they had many pictures from back in the 30's when it was built which was so cool to see.
A piece of Frank Lloyd Wright's art work.
We went up to the McDowell Preserve for a hike one morning with Scrub & Vicki.
 They were excellent tour guides!
We happened to go hiking on our hottest day there, it was 9:30 AM and already 83 degrees. The kids weren't loving it...luckily it was only 2 miles.
Standing with the "teddy bear" cholla, one of the many cactus we learned about.
 Night swim
On Wednesday we visited my grandparents out in Maricopa. My Aunt Suzie was there with her new little puppy "Josie" and the kids LOVED her.
Ben felt very proud walking her around the yard, it was pretty cute.
 Hot tub time!
All they wanted to do was hold Josie, poor dog was so exhausted!
Lauren showed G&G how to make Rainbow Loom bracelets and of course made them one.

Group Shot!
The kids had a blast riding the quads around G&G's house!

We also took the "crazy car" (Mule) out for a spin, which was a big hit too!

After our day in the desert we went to In & Out Burger to pick up dinner and take to my friend Missy's house. Yum! We love In-N-Out!
Missy was a college roommate from WWU, it was so great to get to visit with her and meet her new baby Eleanor.
Lauren was so in love with Eleanor and felt very grown up holding her.
 Such a cute, sweet baby!
Benny boo was so tired he fell asleep on the couch with Opa (notice all the rainbow loom bracelets on Opa's wrist- he is such a good sport!).
Kevin and I got to go tour Taliesin West, a famous "camp" that Frank Lloyd Wright built in the early 30's. It was really like stepping back in time and so cool to think about what life was like back then. I'm not a big tour person but I loved this one.
 Seflies by the pool:)
There were 2 girls from Alaska staying at the condos too, which was awesome. The kids had so much fun playing with them almost every day.

We took to the kids to this bungee trampoline place- they LOVED it of course!

These two love hot tubs, even when its 80 degrees out then want to be in the hot tub!
Jumping in the pool with Opa! Love that he does this fun stuff with the kids even though swimming isn't really his thing.
One last pool selfie with my boy:)
Our last night there we met Brian, Dave & Katie (friends from high school) in Old Town for dinner. It was so great to see them and get to catch up. We're excited to go back to AZ in September for Dave & Katie's wedding!!

Such an awesome trip, we are all sad to be home (Lauren was near tears when we got off the plane last night). We had so much fun playing in the sun and visiting friends and family. Thanks Oma & Opa for everything, we loved every second of it!

Valentine's Day

The kids were so excited to open their Valentine Bags!
Lucky kids to get so much fun stuff!
I popped in both of their classes during the day to see what they were up to.
Both kids were having so much fun!
