Pumpkin Carving Night at Preschool

Tonight was pumpkin carving night at Ben's preschool. He was SO proud to have us there and was very helpful in showing us around (he apparently forgot that Lauren went there for 2 years and he went there last year so we sort of know our way around the place, but we humored him since he was so darn cute!).
 So proud!
Lauren had fun talking to all her old teachers and telling them about how she just lost her 2nd tooth.
Notice who is doing the carving...
The kids don't even fake it at this point, they just leave dad to work.
 Love his cheeseball smiles!

The finished product!

2nd visit from the Tooth Fairy!

Saturday night Lauren asked Kevin to pull out her loose tooth- the thing was hanging by a string!
but she started to get nervous...
then freaked out and it was over, the tooth stayed put.
Sunday she asked again...and he agreed to try again. So this is the before pic.
 And after!
 So proud!
She wrote this letter to the Tooth Fairy. So cute.

Pumpkins

Saturday night was pumpkin carving night!
 guts!
 cute pumpkins
spooky!

We also made pumpkin soup from scratch- we roasted a pumpkin and everything. But it was gross and it all went down the drain. Oh well, fun to try:)

My party planner

Lauren made these last week. She decided she was going to have a little "drawing club" party and she made invites. Then on Saturday she looked at me and said, "Mom, today is my drawing club party and you forgot to mail the invitations!" Oops, my bad.

Crazy Cousins

Ryan & I took these 4 to get pumpkins last weekend. Carson tried to run away about 400 times and he tried to steal some honey sticks. I think I'm getting him a leash for Christmas:)
All 3 photos make me laugh
I think this one is the best. Love the silly girls, Ben enjoying his honey stick, and Carson in total distress!

The Farm at Swan Trail

On Monday Ben & I went on his class field trip to another pumpkin patch. He was pretty excited, it's so fun having time to do this stuff with just him!
Sliding down at the end of the hay maze.
 Happy Boy!
Tractor ride to pick out a pumpkin!

Bob's Corn Maze

Friday night we did Bob's Corn Maze. It was super wet, muddy, and dark but so fun!
Waiting for the tractor to take us to the maze.
Trying to find our way through the first 1/2

 We made it 1/2 way!
A group of us all rented a bon fire pit where we got to hang out and roast marshmallows before we went through the 2nd 1/2 of the maze.
SO muddy! But they loved it!
After getting a little help from the "corn cops" we found our way back to the tractor.
Such a fun night...though I'm still trying to get mud out of everything!

Girls Weekend in San Diego

Friday I flew down to sunny San Diego for a weekend with the girls. It was in the 80's and just heavenly.
We went to lunch on Coronado and walked along the boardwalk.
Miss Mackenzie joined us for lunch. Notice her dress- she only will wear it backwards because she wants to be able to see the bow since it's so pretty. I could not stop laughing at her sexy little get up! Too funny.
We went to Old Town and walked around some of the cute Mexican themed shops. Everything was so festive with pumpkins, loved it.
Loved the lanterns hanging in the parking lot.
 Yummy!
So fun to have my cousins join us!
Jaime, Laurie, Me, & Kelly at Casa de Guadalajaras.
The BEST Mexican food I've had in years, it was so so good. They even had a gluten free menu. Can't wait to eat there again next time we are in town.
On Saturday Graham (Laurie's husband) put us girls up in 2 suites at Paradise Point on Mission Bay. It was a lovely resort and we had the best time. Laurie and I both showed up in the same skirt- we couldn't stop laughing.
Acting surprised that we are dressed the same.
 Loved walking on the beach

View of the sunset from our patio
Dinner at the Barefoot Bar at the resort. Great place!
  S'mores on the beach
Daytime view from our room- I LOVED this place, it really felt like we were in Hawaii. It was just perfect, I can't wait to go back some day!
I snuck away from girls weekend for a few hours on Sunday to spend some time with these two darlings and their family. It was so fun to have them all to myself, such funny kids!

What a great weekend, loved every second of it but glad to be back with my family. It's sure good to miss them every once in awhile, makes me really appreciate them and all their craziness!
