Big Boy Bed!

The bed arrived today and Ben is LOVING it! This car is a bit larger than expected so we are going to have to rearrange all the furniture in his room. Still working that out, but it doesn't matter to Ben, he loves his big boy car bed! He looks so small it, love how he just cozied up in the corner of it. I'm excited for him but also kind of sad that the baby days are official over, kind of sad to see the crib go.

**on a side note, if you know of anyone who needs a crib let us know. Ours was actually recalled but we never turned it in. We are going to do it now though so we will have a brand new one to sell. If someone tells us they want it ahead of time we'll let them pick out the new one.

Snow Day!

We were SO excited to wake up to a few inches of unexpected snow this morning!
Lauren & Ben were super excited to be able to use the snow shovel that Oma & Opa got them. As soon as Ben saw the snow he said, "Mama, my use new shovel." Of course I only got a picture of Lauren shoveling.
 Lauren loves to eat snow.
Love how Ben is so bundled up he can hardly move going down the slide!
He may look cute in the snow, however he does not like it much. He kept saying, "Mama, My cold, go back in house." Oh Benny, we're going to have to toughen you up one of these days, but for now mama kind of likes that you are a softie!

We will miss you Honey

Today our very sweet cat, Honey, went to heaven. Kevin got Honey 13 years ago and she has a very special place in his heart. We are sad to say good-bye but glad to know she is pain free now.
We love you Honey Cat.

Ben's first trip to the dentist!

Ben went to the dentist today for the first time. I was pretty nervous about it all (probably because I hate doing to the dentist more than anything and I have had some nightmare experiences when taking Lauren) but he did amazing. He went right along with everything and didn't even complain once. It was a dream. We'll see if we are so lucky next time! Yay for Benny!

Here comes the bride

fanciest bride you ever did see!

Christmas!

Christmas Morning! Ben got his new scooter and Lauren got the easel she'd been wanting!

Lauren was really into just opening everything but not really taking time to look at it. Ben on the other hand wanted to play with each thing and had no interest in moving onto the next. Lauren did a lot of opening for Ben.

Of course Lauren had to try on her new clothes!
She'd been wanting a bathrobe for a long time so she was pretty excited to finally have one. Funny thing is, she hasn't worn it yet!
Once again, Carson really living it up!
We love our little Christmas Elf Carson!
Auntie Meg & Uncle Ryan got Lauren this fabulous Cinderella bride gown. She feels quite beautiful in it!
They got Ben this construction out fit, which he is loving! He's wearing it right now as a matter of fact!
After spending the morning at the Prentice's we headed up to B'ham to be with the Kok's!
So excited about another round of loot!

Lauren got this fun new dress from Oma & Opa that has a hood, long sleeves, and tule- it is the PERFECT dress for Miss Lauren.
Ben was beyond thrilled with anything that had wheels on it. This truck is especially perfect because it came with a drill to take the wheels on and off!

What a fabulous Christmas it was!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve morning we went to the movies to see Yogi Bear. We ran into our friends Haley & Sydney, which was super fun!
Ben saw the arcade right away and didn't want to leave it. He would have way rather spent the 2 hours playing "cars" than watching the movie, but he was a trooper.
Carson loved Yogi Bear, he thought it was the best movie ever made:)
Benny Boo sitting like a big boy in the movie seat.
My dads Christmas present. Kevin made this for him out of the front seat of an Audi. And since they came in a set he had to make one for himself as well! We were all pretty darn impressed with Kevin's ability to take a seat out of a car and turn it into a desk chair!
Lauren and Ben always exchange gifts on Christmas Eve. She got Ben a garbage truck and he got her a doll. Ben also picked out this Castle for Lauren. He & I were at Costco one day and he saw it and said, "Mama, my buy that Lo Lo" so how could I say no?! It was a hit, they both love it!

Candy Cane

Candy Cane is living it up on his last night. He figured since he's going home for the year tomorrow he might as well celebrate his last night in the Kok household! We've loved having you Candy Cane, or "Canny Can" as Ben calls you:)

First Pedicure!

Last night my mom and I took Lauren for her very first pedicure! She was beyond thrilled and felt very grown up and very fancy. She was telling everyone in the place, "this is my first time" and was grinning from ear to ear.
My mom found this place, Deluxe nails, in Woodinville that has kids chairs. They were so good with Lauren and it only costs $12 for a kid pedicure! (Adults were only $20 and that included a hot stone leg massage!)

Lauren is very proudly displaying her lovely gold glitter toes with a flower and pink gems on them!
Thanks for a fun time Nana, I have a feeling this won't be the last!

"Mama, My Playin"

Poor Benny, he is always surrounded by girls. He usually kind of watches them play and sort of does his own thing. Well today we had Lauren's friend Drew over and he and Ben hit it off. It was so cute. As they were playing Ben stopped and came over to me and said, "Mama, My playin' with Drew" and he was just beaming! I think he just LOVED having a boy to race and crash cars (and zhu zhu pets) with!
