Lauren + Logan

We went to my school book fair the other night then met up with Casie and Logan for a little date night! Lauren & Logan were so cute together and were like long lost best friends.
They both ordered mint ice cream
and both insisted on making silly faces the moms couldn't get any good pictures!
They're still cute though! It was really fun to watch them play. I think we're going to have to plan another date soon:)

Pumpkin Carving

We told Lauren she couldn't actually do the cutting and she insisted that could do it with her kid knife. So we let her try. Surprisingly, it didn't work.
Ben tried to to eat the pumpkin!
He was quite intrigued.
I requested a happy pumpkin- nice job Kev:)
Lauren requested a Rocket pumpkin. She's lucky her daddy is one crafty guy!

Carnival

We went to the Halloween carnival at the Y and the kids had so much fun! Lauren was the cutest dragon there. She was too funny when she put this on, she was quite upset because her wings weren't lifting her up into the sky... she apparently thought they would really work!
And Ben was the most darling dinosaur you ever did see!
Pumpkin bowling
Witch Toss
Ben even played a game! How cute is his costume?!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs

Fun times at the movies!

Swaddle Training

The girls were swaddling their babies so of course Ben had to do it too!
Such a sweet little daddy.
Naturally Lauren wanted me to swaddle her then got ridiculously mad when it wasn't tight enough. She did LOVE to be swaddled when she was a baby, maybe we should start doing it again so she'll sleep through the night.
Hads and Ben prepping the babies for nap time.
Getting ready to swaddle yet another baby, being a dad is tough work!

Hotties

These crazy ladies love to change clothes and would do it all day long if we'd let them. They came up with some pretty cute outfits the other day! I love their little poses too, we may just have 2 super models on our hands!
Lauren trying to look buff!
It could work.
Trashy to church is seconds, she has versatility!
Runway ready!

It's almost scary how excited I get

Every so often she will decide to put this on and my heart skips a beat! I try so hard to act calm and just say, "Oh that looks nice on you" but really I want to scream, "Yahoo! You do like girl things, Yahoo Yahoo Yahoo!"

Jump Planet with Grandpa Fred

My grandpa is visiting so Lauren decided we needed to take him to Jump Planet. She had a blast but Ben hated it! He also hated me for trying to get him to jump and go down the slides. He clung to grandpa the whole time and wouldn't even look at me!
Ben & Grandpa just hanging out!
Lauren on the other hand got very brave. She has always been so scared of this one jumpy house because of the aliens but on this day she decided to face her fears. She walked over the alien and shook his hand and said, "Hi, nice to meet you" and she is now no longer scared! She doesn't take after me, I've yet to face any of my fears:)

Aww

Ben has recently caught on to the fact that Lauren makes her way into our bed during the night and he wants to join the club. They are just to impossible to say no too when they are this cuddly and cute!
Lauren woke up but decided she had to lay there to protect Ben from falling off the bed!

Just Like Auntie Meg

Lauren had to wear 3 shirts to preschool the other day to be just like Auntie Meg. It was too funny. She had a long sleeve hooded waffle shirt on first, then a long sleeve size 5T shirt on (it was a Paul Frank shirt I found for $5 so I couldn't pass it up even though it's too big), and then her Hawaii t shirt on top. She was quite bulky but thought she looked fabulous!

First Field Trip!

My two sons:) Ha! They were pretty cute sitting on the hay listening to the "good farm witch" do her talk. Lauren's preschool had a field trip to Craven Farms- it was so great, we loved it!
Checking out the ducks.
Ben found one that matched his hair!

Picking out the perfect pumpkin, which for Lauren meant a green one that wasn't so ripe yet. She beats to her own drum I tell ya!

This was quite a hit- an old boat that the kids could play in. Ben of course couldn't wait to join in the fun. He wanted to drive it SO BAD but he never did get a chance. Kind of hard when you tag along on big sister's field trip. It sort of makes you second fiddle. Oh well Benny, your time will come.

We have another cat lover in the family

Ben was obsessed with these kittens at the farm we went to. While all the other kids were checking out the various animals, he stayed put by the kittens. He LOVED them.
Feeling kind of cool with the big boys from Lauren's class. Drew is looking pretty darn cool in this pic!
I love all Ben's expressions, he just thought these kittens were the greatest thing ever.
Can I please take you home? Nope, sorry Ben. Your mama is not much of a cat lover. I do have to admit, they were pretty cute and I even thought for a second about how our cat is old and maybe we should get a kitten, but then I came to my senses and realized that is RIDICULOUS! Talking to the kitties. I tell you, he had a connection with these kittens.

Camp Out!

Lauren had a campout the other day.
She was camping with her babies and did not want me to take any photos.
Then she got really mad because this little baby blanket of Ben's wouldn't cover her feet but she would not use any of her own blankets because they are girl blankets and she is a boy.

Then she destroyed her room... she called it "packing". She filled 3 backpacks with as many clothes as she could fit.
Can you tell how fun this campout was for me? At least she had a great time:)

Don't worry, the paramedics are here!

We've taken playing doctor up a notch around here and we are now playing paramedics. Lauren has made a stretcher and she rushes her babies to the hospital on them (don't ask me where she came up with this, I have no idea!).
Starting chest compressions
Then on to the breathing... or is she about to give her a passionate kiss?

We had a second patient get injured but there was no room, this was quite a problem actually. We are desperate need of another stretcher!
Then she needed to be checked out so Ben & I did the job. We found fish in her ears and a monkey in her tummy. Thank goodness we are excellent doctors, we got her all fixed up.
She is too funny with her medical interests. Yesterday she told us she is either going to be a doctor or a skateboarder when she grows up, she is still deciding. At least she's got it narrowed down! Our house is NEVER boring!
