Lots of Posts

I just caught up and added LOTS of posts. Click "Older Posts" at the bottom so you can see everything I added:)

Seattle

Nana & Pa had their boat in Bell Harbor all weekend so we went down to spend the day on Sunday.
Such pretty views of the waterfront.
We walked down to bubble game alley to check it out.
So gross but kind of cool too.
Lauren and Kevin added their gum...Ben didn't want to.
We had coffee at Storyville, I loved the hearts on our lattes:)
Lauren & Ben were excited to kayak around the harbor.

While the kids were kayaking with Nana & Pa, Kevin & I snuck away for a quick drink at Pike's Brewing.
We all went out to dinner at the new Ivar's on the pier. It was so nice and the food was delicious!
After dinner Kevin & Nana took the kids on the great wheel. Pa and I opted out.

Such a fun way to spend the day and night! Thanks Nana & Pa!

1st day of School 2015

Both kids had a great 1st day of school! Both got the teacher's they wanted and the year is off to a good start!

Weekend in Bellingham

We went up Bellingham a few weekends ago and spent the day at the Lynden Fair. We always love getting the chocolate covered fruit kabobs!
The piglets were only a few days old and SO cute!!!

The kids were so in love with all the animals.

We couldn't believe how HUGE this order of fries was!!! We didn't even make a dent in them but they were yummy!
The kids got to go back and meet the Shagren's Belgium horses again, so lucky to have family connections at the fair:)

Kelly & Lily came over to hang out with us in the morning- we all LOVE spending time with Lily, she has quite the personality.
After the Kok family reunion we headed over to visit Grandpa Maas at the retirement home. The kids (and I) get a little bored there so we let Kevin & Grandpa visit while we played pool!
We stopped for sushi on our way home- Ben kept changing his mind on whether or not he liked salmon...

Grandpa was recently in the local retirement paper and he was very proud of the write up- he gave us a copy to keep:)

End of Summer

Lauren and I got our toes done while Ben was a Basketball camp one morning.

The Doran's were in town for the night and Lauren and Mackenzie were super cute together.
The little kids REALLY wanted to climb the rocks with the big kids!
 Jack made it up!
Laurie, Me, Alison- friends since elementary school.
Fun to see our girls together all these years later.
We went to the beach with our neighbors for one of our last summer beach days!
Gretel & Ellie LOVE to sit at the top of the stairs and keep watch over the house.
Driveway Drinking- most Thursdays our neighborhood does this thing called Driveway Drinking, where we meet in one person's driveway with our camping chairs and all the grownups drink while the kids play outside. It's been so fun this summer!
Ben had a fun time at the Home Court Basketball camp this summer.
 The kitties on their perch.
We went to a comedy show with John & Aimee at Parlor Live. Lots of good laughs!
The kids went to work with Kevin for the day over on Bainbridge Island while I had classes all day. Fun day to tag along with dad!
Driveway Drinking! One of the neighbors just bought a big portable fire pit so we can continue it through the winter:)
Lots of kitty pics these days. I was at Costco the other day buying kitty litter and I was asking the guy next to me some questions about the kitty litter. Later I saw him in a different part of the store and he said, "Hey- it's the cat lady again." I about died...NEVER in my life did I think I'd be called the "cat lady"...Never say Never I guess!

The kids spent the day on the boat with Pa while I was back at work for school prep. Lucky Kids!
Both kids played in the soccer jamboree last Saturday and the winds and rain were CRAZY! So crazy that most people lost power for a minimum of 24 hours. We were lucky and ours was out for 24hrs but many people we know had it out for 2-4 days!
Both kids teams did great despite the weather!
The neighbors came over and we played Yahtzee by lantern. It was pretty fun:)

Lauren had her first cavity and got it filled last week. We were all a little nervous to see how she did but it went fabulously! Yahoo!
