We love the Wiggles

Lauren is absolutely obsessed with the wiggles these days. She gets in this trance and nothing else matters. She loves cuddling while she watches it too, which never used to happen. So though the wiggles aren't our fav group, we enjoy watching them with Lauren just to get some cuddle time in!

Okay- so maybe they put Mama in a trance too!

Dance party

Lauren loves dancing to Gwen Stefani songs with Daddy!

She won't dance on her own much, but she loves when we hold her and dance.

This is what she does when we ask her to dance on her own. Hmm... does she look like she is 18months old or 18 YEARS old?

Okay dad, all this dancing has worn me out, I'm going to cope for awhile.

I want Cookies!

"Uncle Kevin, I don't have time to chit chat, I am trying to figure out how I am going to get those cookies!"

"Okay, no one's looking, I'm going in..."

"Shoot, they keep moving them farther away from me! Where is Lauren, I bet she could climb up here and get these for me!"

Cabin Fever

We were so lucky to be invited up to Bob & BZ's new cabin at Lake Kachess (they are Hadley's grandparents for anyone who doesn't know them!). It was so beautiful and very cozy and relaxing.

And then she decided to splash around like a crazy monster. I think Hadley is trying to reach out to grab something so she can hold on for dear life!

Lauren thought this sparse snow looked like a cow. All morning she kept saying "cow". We're assuming it's the black and white spots. It was hilarious! I think we need to take the kid to some farms so she can see what a cow really looks like!

Miss Crazy

This little get up is pretty much a daily thing in our house. Every morning when I'm getting ready Lauren digs through the linen close to get these 2 over night bags then heads to the closet to get Kevin's belt. She always wraps it around her neck then walks around with the bags. It is hilarious, not sure what the appeal is but she obviously does!

Gobble Gobble

Everyone came over yesterday for Thanksgiving. It was a fun time and we all so lucky to have so much to be thankful for! Hadley enjoyed some time with Pa.

Lauren was really tired from all the baking so she had to take a rest on the stairs.

Or maybe this is why she needed a rest? Aunt Megan was teaching her to do yoga on her head!

Opa is an expert turkey carver.

Kevin was a master chef this Thanksgiving. He was Mr. do it all and made us all a delicious meal! We are so Thankful for him!

Lauren was feeling quite grown up sitting on the stools. She sat her for about 30 minutes. Thankfull Pa was hanging close by to catch her in case she fell backwards.

The perfect looking turkey. It looked like it was from a magazine, Kevin is a pro!

Ryan had an important job too- he was in charge of pouring the wine. It was a lot of work but he managed :)

Coffee Date

Lauren and Hadley met for coffee the other day.

Hadley thought it was the best thing ever!
She got to have pretzels and bananas ands he was so happy!

Lauren didn't think it was as exciting as Hadley did. But Lauren did get her very own REAL cocoa this time so she should have been one happy camper!

Farmer Twins

Lauren and Hadley decided to dress the same today in their overall outfits.

Once again, we're so thankful Hadley is the happy kid that she is, or it wouldn't be so easy to have her & Lauren together!

This is one of Lauren's MANY attempts to pick her up and hug her. Well intentioned at least :)

I asked Lauren to show me how strong she was and this is the pose she showed me. I think she's practically a body builder!

Another one of Lauren's favorite places to hang out... Hadley's car seat! Someday Hadley is going to get payback and I'm actually looking forward to seeing it :)

P.S.- Lauren is naked because she suddenly hates getting dressed every morning. She throws a cute tantrum each time, it's lovely. So we've been spending more time in just a diaper. She's not even 2 yet... we're sort of scared!!!

A bit of a wacky morning

This was right before we left for a walk to get "cocoa" aka "water" at the local coffee shop, then when we got back we locked ourselves out and had to wait outside in the cold wind for 45 minutes until my mom saved us with the extra key she has. THANK GOODNESS she has a key and THANK GOODNESS she was willing to be late the the baby shower she was going to to come rescue us!

Movie Night!

Saturday night we decided to put in Shrek and see if Lauren would cuddle up with us and watch a movie. Well, no such luck with the cuddling- she's too independent for that- but she did decide to get a pillow and a blanket all by herself and set up a little cozy corner to watch the movie in. She watched it for about 15 minutes straight which is actually quite impressive for our wild child. All in all, our first family movie night was a success!

Should we be scared? Lauren only laughed at the mean parts! Every time someone got hurt or squished or thrown in the movie Lauren would laugh hysterically! Anyone know a good therapist, we might need one:)

The Multi Tasking Bag Lady

Lauren loves carrying bags around the house with her.

She often has to stop and do things along the way, but she will not let go of her bag. Here she is working on saving up some $$ for her future shopping trips!

This one really shows her talent, she's carrying a purse and an overnight bag while playing fetch with the tennis ball (another of her latest favorite activities). The kid really can manage quite a lot!

Oh this is hard work, let me take a moment to "cope" before I continue on with my work.

Learning to Compromise

Lauren really wanted to hold Hadley so we compromised and let Hadley sit in her "lap".

She wanted to be extra close to her but Hadley just wanted to play. We're so lucky Hadley puts up with all of Lauren's shenanigans!
