Flip Flops!!!!!!!!

Here we are getting ready to head out for the big purchase today. I personally think this look is super cute, I love little sneakers with no socks. But someone had her heart set on Flip Flops.
She was beyond excited, I wish everyone could be as excited as she was today about flip flops- our world would be a happy place. When we got home she wanted me to stand next to her in the kitchen then she said, "Mommy look down, we are both wearing flip flops". Boy did she feel special!
The look is now complete...in Lauren's eyes at least!

As we were driving away Kevin and I were talking about how cute she was and how great it was that she was so excited over $4 flip flops. Then she says, "Hey Mommy, I have an idea". I ask what it was and she says, "I was thinking it'd be a good idea if I had a tv in my room." Kevin and I were besides ourselves. Our little 3 year old is going on 13. I explained to her that mommy just got a tv in her room this year and I'm 31, so when she is 31 she can get a tv too. She agreed. We'll see how long that lasts!

Oh boy, I'm gonna miss these kiddies while we're gone this weekend. Crankiness and all, they are the best ever and I'm sad just thinking of not seeing them.

Obsessed

Ben loves the vacuum and I mean LOVES it! It's nearly impossible to vacuum because he chases it and wants to be with it at all times.
He was so grouchy today but once I got the vacuum out he became so happy. It cracks me up how much he loves it.
"This vacuum is MINE all MINE and don't even think of touching it!" It cracks me up because I had a student named Ty a few years back who was obsessed with vacuums and he had 5 or 6 of his own and he was always telling me about each one. I thought it was funny but super strange. Looks like I just might have myself a little Ty.
Lauren's trike is a close second to the vacuum. He has to be with it at all times if we are on the deck. He fell about 5 times today because he tries to push it and just falls on top of it. Oh poor Benny Boo. Luckily you are incredibly adorable.
Staking his claim.

5 o'clock somewhere

Ben kept reaching for Kevin's beer at dinner tonight. He had been complaining ALL DAY LONG- we think he's getting a new tooth. Once he had the bottle he was happy as a clam. Beer makes everyone happy:)

The Farm

We headed back to Farrel McWhirter today. Ben was more interested in the animals this time. He loved the horses...or maybe he just loved their fence:)
The baby pigs! They were the cutest things ever! I think there were 16. There were also baby goats and baby bunnies- while I'm not a huge animal fan I love baby animals!
The mama enjoying a nice mud bath. She looked so tired!
This cracked me up, there were animals all around but Lauren focused mostly on this dead caterpillar. Could've seen plenty of those in our own backyard!

My Little Chefs

Everytime I try to cook anything I have two fabulous "helpers". Oh what would I do without them?!

So funny

Just had to share this funny story. Today at toddler group a little girl was wearing flip flops- which Lauren has been wanting SO bad for a few months. She went up to her and tried multiple times to convince the girl to trade shoes with her! When the girl refused Lauren came over and asked me if I could buy Ella's shoes from her! I was dying. Lucky for Lauren she got some birthday money in the mail from Great Grandma and Grandpa Prentice today. I asked her what she wanted to buy with it and she said, "Milk"...she's SO wierd. Then I suggested that she buy new flip flops and you should of heard the scream and seen the smile! We are headed to buy some flip flops tomorrow morning!

La Conner

My parents spent the weekend in La Conner so on our way home from B'ham was swung by for a visit. It was so pretty and such a cute little town.
Back off ladies- he's all mine!
Lauren liked climbing up on the bow and jumping in the window into the cabin.
Lauren is not scared of the dinghy anymore- or as she puts it, "I'm not really scared anymore, just a little bit scared" but she was all smiles on this ride.

Ski to Sea

We went up to Bellingham this weekend and enjoyed the most amazing weather ever! We spent Sunday in Fairhaven and the Ski to Sea festival which was so much fun. Lauren had fun watching the ponies with Opa.
Hitching a ride with Opa!
Walking on the boardwalk to Boulevard Park. After some fun with the kids Oma and Opa took the kids home so Kevin and I could hang out with Kelly and Zach. We had a great time and once again Kelly and Kevin brainstormed ways to get me to move up there:) If they could guarantee this weather every day I'd be there in a second!

Being Silly

Just some goofing off pics. This girl would jump all day long if we'd let her.
He's looking SO old!
Trying to get pics of our matching shirts. I didn't buy them together- hers is from last summer and I just bought mine and totally forgot she even had this shirt until I unpacked her summer clothes.
Gotta love self portraits.

Preggo

Lauren has been giving birth to MANY children lately. She announces her pregnancy a few times a day- sometimes she has twins. Yesterday she had a 2 year old in her tummy. She names them too. The other day she gave birth to Baby Louden. On Sunday we were waiting in line to use the bathroom and I let a pregnant lady go ahead of us. Lauren wanted to know why so I told her because when you have a baby in your tummy you have to go potty a lot. Well... guess who had to go potty LOTS today? Never a dull moment around here!

Laurie's Shower

Kelly & I threw a shower for Laurie and Baby Mackenzie on Sunday.
The weather was so nice! Here is Laurie with Alison and Kelly, some friends from high school.
Kelly, Laurie, and Me!
Funny how we all picked shades of blue (mine is more green I guess) to wear.
Lauren got to be at the shower- she felt pretty cool!
Lauren helping Laurie open her gifts, what would she have done without all the kids to help her?
Baby Mackenzie is due to arrive around August 30th- we can't wait to meet her!

Pedicure anyone?

Lauren gave Kevin an impromptu pedicure the other night, it was so funny. She was really serious about it too!

Cute Boy

He is looking like such a little boy these days. He's latest love is wheat bread, he devours it!
Lauren was watching a show and Ben kept watching too. Oh no, we're gonna have two tv lovers!
Looking so grown up hanging out with Nana!
Cute little butt up in the air sleeper!

Mother's Day

Mother's day was fabulous! Mom and I went shopping and out to lunch then came home to a bbq made by Kevin. Didn't get too many pics of the bbq but did get a cute one of Miss Lauren jumping on her bed. Apparently on Mother's Day you don't have to follow rules.
Hadley just looking cute- as always!
Ryan splurged (at my request!) on Cold Stone cupcakes and in my opinion they were worth every penny, I think Lauren would agree!
Benny even got in on the action and had his fair share of cupcakes and ice cream. Kind of funny how #2 gets things a little earlier- with Lauren I didn't want her to have any dessert until her 1st b-day!
Ben was making the rounds with the ice cream- Hadley was enjoying lots of bites as well. They know Nana & Pa will give them all they want!
Thanks to everyone for a great Mother's Day! Funny there weren't any pics of Me & Meg, we were too busy taking the pics I guess!

Train Ride

Bella & Max gives free train ride passes when you get your hair cut. Lauren has always refused to go on it so I had enough saved up for us all to ride for free! As you can see she still didn't want to go on it but we didn't give her much of a choice this time!
After about 2 seconds she decided she liked it after all!
Ben and his serious look. This picture makes it look like his hair is shaved on the side- it's not!
Just thought this was cute.
Ben is actually asleep in this picture- the train ride wore him out!
