A good cause

Lauren joined Oma & Opa and a whole bunch of their friends for the Swedish Fun Run to help find a cure for Ovarian cancer. We were all there in memory of Bea, and she was there in spirit! Go Team True Grit!!!

Road Trip!

We took Lauren on her first road trip...can't say that she loved it, but it was an adventure none the less! She did sleep a little in the car so we had to take a picture of these rare peaceful moments!

She did enjoy her time sunbathing with her snacks by the pool!

And she managed to keep herself entertained by climbing on anything she could find. This water bottle pack kept her busy for a good 10 minutes!

Shy & Solemn

Those of you who know Lauren well know that she is loud and silly and has quite the personality. However, when Lauren is at the park with friends she gets very quiet and shy and I'm sure all the other moms think I'm a total liar when I say how funny she is. It is hilarious, but it never fails, she talks the whole car ride there, then we get out and she becomes quiet and withdrawn and as soon as we get back in the car the craziness begins again! What a character she is and we love it!

I love that Hadley turns my dad into this silly guy! Lauren does it too, I just don't happen to have a pic. He loves his grandbabies!

Seemed like a good idea...

Today I thought it'd be fun for Lauren and I to build a fort. I thought I was so clever putting this fitted sheet over these two stools. It was fun for a few minutes, until...

Lauren fell into the middle of it... I'm sure you can imagine what happened next. I guess it wasn't a good idea- luckily she's one tough cookie and has a pretty hard head. Poor baby and dumb mommy!

Happy Camper!

Lauren loved playing in Collin's hammock with daddy on our camping trip to Lake Easton last weekend!

They also had a very interesting conversation at the beach!

I think we're up for "Parents of the Year" for letting this little scene happen! She wasn't as close as she looks... I PROMISE!!!

Lauren got a new bike trailer! Now that Kevin works right by REI he likes to find "deals" at lunch. This one was just too good to pass up so she upgraded bike trailers =) Lucky kid!

The Zoo

Lauren loved petting the bunny at the Zoo.

The goat was also a favorite.

Lauren can't wait until she can ride Grandpa's Harley... too bad she has a really loooong wait!

I Love Rasberries!

Lauren has been enjoying all of the fresh fruit of summer. Mom on the other hand has not been enjoying getting stains out of every single shirt. Today we ate naked!

Fun times with Family!

We've had cousins from CA visiting for the last 5 days and it has been SO MUCH FUN! Here is a picture of Hadley and Auntie Megan at the park with all of us!

Lauren all cozy with grandma after a dip in her pool.

Mamma couldn't resist a dip in the fancy pool with Jacob and Lauren. Jacob enjoyed splashing us all!

Lauren and Jacob both loved playing on the air mattress, it was very fun to jump on! Lauren also loved getting to know cousin Marie better.

Lauren usually hates brushing her teeth, but she seems to be doing more since Jacob does it. They were pretty darn cute having their teeth brushed together!

Lauren and Jacob both had a lot of lessons in sharing this week! It was good for them, hard at times, but actually kind of entertaining as well!

Lauren isn't that into getting pedicures yet... she doesn't yet realize that she will LOVE these one day!

She's already realzing her magical power to get exactly what she wants from daddy, in this case she wanted to hold the clippers herself!

4th of July

Look who is walking? Such a big girl!Lauren loved walking all over the big yard!

John & Aimee took us to Aimee's sister's house on Lake Tapps for the 4th- it was a beautiful setting and a fabulous day. We all had so much fun, it was just perfect!

Lauren's favorite part of 4th of July was that she got to be outside all day and drink out of water bottles. She was so wet and SO HAPPY! She had the best day ever!

I love summer!

We went over to the Johnson's for a bbq and Lauren loved playing with the badminton racket.

Skinny Dipping

We blew up Lauren's new pool and she and daddy took a dip. Luckily daddy kept his shorts on, unlike Lauren! This pose below is hilarious!
